“Hi, I’m Amber Lane, and I can’t wait to share with you the magic of yoga, massage, and Reiki.”
I have been on a spiritual quest since I was a child. I’ve always needed answers to questions about religion, spirituality, emotions, and how to be this thing called a human. I never got those answers. I was told ‘that’s just the way it is’, ‘you’re so sensitive’, ‘pray about it’. It’s taken many years to search out those answers for myself. I’ve been down some dark roads, learned from huge mistakes, but have kept pushing to learn more. From my experience, I only started to feel relief, and a sense of belonging, once I found Yoga. When I added massage and Reiki into my life, I felt like I had truly found my tribe of people, an emotional relief, satisfaction with life. I finally got my answers. My universe opened! Your story will have taken you along a different path, but if you can relate, then I hope I can help you progress.
My other passion is travel. If I could only travel for a living, with an endless flow of money of course. Since I haven’t found a way for that yet, I get my fill of travel as a flight attendant. It’s another way I found to not only support myself, but to support my travel addiction. I hope to include some of my travel tales in my blog.
I’ve traveled, lived, worked, and volunteered all over the globe. Throughout my travels I’ve often found an animal in need. I rescue them and then try to figure out how to move them across the world with me. I have three cats from Dubai, one from Abu Dhabi, one from Washington, and my oldest is from Colorado. I often feel like I have a full time job caring for them, feeding them, cleaning up after them, and giving them all the attention that they want. I often feel like I’ve failed them too. I’ve moved them countless times as my life is ever-changing. If you have pets, soulmate animals, a special needs pet, a monster demon pet, or just love looking at pictures of animals then you’ll find all of that and more in my blog.
I’ve practiced Yoga for many years but decided to become a teacher in 2012. I was going through a particularly challenging time in my life and Yoga was often the only thing that would get me up and moving in the morning. It saved me during that time. I wanted to become a teacher to learn more, dive in headfirst, discover more about myself, and then teach this life-changing experience on to others.
I was lucky enough to be featured on the cover of Yogalife magazine in 2013, and throughout several health magazines in the Middle East, all promoting the benefits of yoga. I also worked for Zee TV as a yoga teacher. I am grateful for my time living abroad and the many ways my life was enriched.
I have a master’s degree in Forensic Death Investigation. I completed my 200-hour Yoga teacher training in 2012, with Vidya Heisel, at Frog Lotus Yoga International in Spain. In 2015, I completed my 500-hour advanced teacher training at Ashram Yoga in New Zealand. I became a sport and fitness massage therapist in 2013, from ETA Sport and Fitness College in Dubai. In 2015, I became a certified massage therapist at Mountainheart School of Bodywork and Transformational Therapy in Crested Butte, Colorado. I am licensed in Colorado, Washington, and Delaware. I was introduced to Reiki in 2015, and completed my Level 1, Level 2, Advanced training, and Master level qualifications with Marianne Streich, Reiki for Living, in Seattle, Washington. In 2016, I studied small and large animal massage at Northwest School of Animal Massage, Vashon Island, Washington. I am a nationally certified practitioner with NBCAAM, National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure and Massage, certified in both canine and equine massage. Also in 2016, I became a certified bootybarre instructor. In 2017, I became certified in level 1 Animal Reiki, in Colorado. I am constantly trying to learn new skills as I’m interested in healing myself, along with others.
Do you or your animal have something to work through, or heal from? Than you’re just like me. We all have something we’re trying to cope with. Whether it’s an injury, health issues, trauma, or our own self-inflicting ways of not living our true life to its potential. Allow me the opportunity to work with you, or your animal, in a kind, patient, and warm-hearted manner. I’ll help you find what’s good for your soul.
Please send me a message for a listing of my yoga classes and retreats offered, or to set up an appointment.
